EDB is the lead government agency for planning and executing strategies to enhance Singapore’s position as a global business centre. 

The Merx project management office was appointed to refit their existing Singapore office located at Raffles City Tower (RCT). The 100,000 sq. ft. renovation stretched across 9 levels excluding 2 levels which needed to be reinstated and returned to RCT Building Team.

Working in conjunction with Hassell (Interior Designer) and WSP Ng (GreenMark consultant), Merx ensured EDB’s vision of an alternative workplace strategy, flexible breakout and meeting areas and collaboration spaces were brought to life whilst providing a modern look and maintaining quality through material selection.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Bloomberg is an international News and Media agency that delivers television, radio and mobile services to clients worldwide. Its extensive network spans 73 countries with over 150 bureaus and 2,400 media professionals.

As a repeat client, Bloomberg engaged Merx as the sole Project and Cost Manager to manage the development of a new office space for their Singapore HQ. Working in conjunction with Graphite (Interior Designer) and TW International (MEP consultant), Merx ensured Bloomberg vision of a modern and inspiring workplace was brought to life on time and within budget.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Chartis engaged the Merx project management office to oversee the refurbishment of their new 64,000office space in Singapore. Working alongside MMoser on a design and build contract, Merx’s role was to provide client side direction to close out the scheme design phase in line with the pre agreed budget and time constraints. 

The project included new open plan office/meeting room/reception/phone booths and staff facilities for all the Chartis Singapore team, as well as a customer facing service and transaction counter for insurance sales and enquiries. Incorporating the Chartis new global branding initiatives timed perfectly into the concept and scheme design of the project.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Jet Aviation is one of the largest aviation services companies, operating close to 50 facilities globally and employing over 5,000 staff.

Due to significant business growth, the Singapore operation was required to expand its hangar space in order to serve customer requirements. Jet Aviation appointed Merx as overall project managers to realise their vision of a state of the art facility to house additional aircraft as well as a service facility that included staff offices, a VIP lounge, spray painting booths and workshops for joinery and upholstery.

Successful delivery of a complex project on schedule and within budget has resulted in repeat projects and a strengthened customer relationship.

AXA Investment Managers Hong Kong | Construction Project Management | Merxcm

 

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

AXA Investment Managers is a global asset management institution providing fixed income and equity investment products to institutional and wholesale clients. In 2018 Merx was engaged for a combined relocation and fit-out project for AXA Investment Managers and AXA Asian Markets. For AXA Investment Managers, Merx was appointed as project manager including quantity surveying, construction administration, move management and client contract management services.

In order to support business flexibility, AXA Investment Managers moved from an existing space that had elements of open plan with private offices to complete open plan setting with ergonomic solutions. Although each of the two separate entities within AXA Investment Managers had their own unique look and feel, the overall design still retained consistency to allow for seamless design transition from the client facing area to their respective back offices.

With the new building itself still undergoing final stages testing and commissioning and multiple tenants moving in at the same time, the project success was dependant on Merx’s detailed coordination, risk mitigation, time management and structured site supervision to ensure delivery on time and on budget.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Block.one is a global leader within the rapidly expanding block chain technology industry and is one of the most exciting start-ups in recent years. In late 2018 Block.one approached Merx for the relocation and on-going expansion of their corporate space in Hong Kong. The new space features elements of residential design to create a warm and welcoming environment.

Appointed as the overall Project Manager, Merx took over for the implementation and management of a project plan, budget and coordination between the appointed designer. Upon appointment, Merx immediately stepped in to develop the detailed programme required to align the project and ensure the project’s success in delivery on time and within budget.
